Good day, I’m Mr Mittens! I’m a big dapper cat, with my black and white coat and elegant mustache and goatee. I have the tipped ear badge of courage that means I survived trying to live on the streets. I’m also a Hemingway cat, with extra toes on my front feet, the better to introduce myself! A kind samaritan took me in but ended up with too many cats, so I came here to find a family I can call my own.
Because I’m such a gentleman, I really appreciate a formal introduction and taking my time to get to know you. I will start out as a Wallflower, the one who likes to sit back and assess the situation. Once I know I’m safe, though, I will definitely be your Secret Valentine, hanging out with you and offering up quiet purrs. With enough love and care, my confidence will come out and I will probably blossom into your best Snuggle Bunny in the weeks to come as I love head and ear rubs and kitty massages.
I’m a gentleman with other cats too, fitting in without any fuss and being respectful of my elders. I came here with my friend Lara and we’re like an old married couple, not all that affectionate, but happy to co-exist.
Just because I’m quiet, doesn’t mean I don’t like to play! I’m only about 6 years old, so get out the wand toys and watch me move. I had bad experiences on the street with dogs, so will do my best in a quiet home without active dogs or small children.
